Mediafire - Online file sharing/storage

Dear Marists

When you select a file-sharing/hosting site, please read the terms and condition.

Please read carefully the terms and condition carefully if you wish to use mediafire.

Here are the issues I had with mediafire.

1) For free account users, the files will be deleted by mediafire if you do not access it for more than 30 days. Don't forget that those are your project files and do you want them to be deleted?

2) High downtime.

I'm bringing up this because I noticed one group is using mediafire http://2009s2i1.blogspot.com/2009/01/our-upload-url.html. And the link to their files is dead.

I suggest that everyone should use box.net or getdropbox.com as they allow collaborations and permission/public settings.

Box.net also has many useful services like discussion, embedding into html and OpenBox Services. Go check it out.

i would like to comment as the admin of the blog you mentioned, that there are no files not because it is deleted but because i have not uploaded any files.

You should read in-between the lines. For free account on Mediafire, files/folders that have not been accessed for more than 30 days will be deleted away.
